| Benefits
of Grooming
Appearance:
Your pet will come
home smelling fresh, looking clean, and having
a beautiful haircut.
Coat
Evaluation: The groomer will examine your pets skin
and coat for any irregularities, such as bumps,
flaky skin, and external parasites.
Eyes
and Ears:
The groomer
will identify any problems with the eyes and/or
ears (redness, odor or discharge) of your pet
and report any problems to one of our experienced
veterinarians.
Nail
Trim:
Your pets
nails will be trimmed during the grooming appointment.
What
age can a pet be groomed?
12-16
weeks of age. Even if your pet does not need a full groom, this
is the best age to get your pet used to the clippers and other
procedures involved in a full grooming.
How
often should my pet be groomed?
Melissa will be happy to set up a schedule with you based on
your pets needs. But, on average, groomable breeds should
be groomed at 4-8 week intervals.
Can
my pet be groomed and see a veterinarian on the same day?
Most
veterinary procedures, such as updating vaccines or investigating
health concerns, can be completed the same day your pet is groomed.
Do
you groom cats?
Yes!
While many cats do a great job of grooming themselves, there
are a few breeds that need some help. Let Melissa show you how
your cat would benefit from a professional groom.
